Hello,

My name is David Hopcroft, and I am honored to be President of Tarpon Landing’s BoD.

My wife, Jill, our dog Patos and I are full time residents.

I was born in England and moved to the USA with my wife and two young sons in 2000.  We spent the next ten years growing our software company and retired in 2010 when we sold the company.  Jill and I, along with our sons, became US citizens in 2010.

When my wife and I were looking for a condo, we searched most of the USA coastline. From Oregon, along the Texas coast (we missed CA…. I can’t live there!), around the Pan Handle of Florida and from Virginia down through the Carolinas to the East coast of Florida but found nothing we really liked enough to buy.

Then we found Cape Coral.   On our first visit to Tarpon Landings, we immediately purchased a condo!   I don’t need to tell those who live here just how lucky we are to have such a wonderful place to call home.

I take my role on the Board of Directors for Tarpon Landings very seriously.  I believe it is my responsibility to keep our homes and facilities safe and in great condition – so that all residents can enjoy living here to the maximum.

Throughout my working life, I have always taken the view that I should leave something better than it was when I found it.  I intend to ensure that, when I leave the Board of Tarpon Landings, things are better than they were on the day I joined the Board.
